Pre-planning

We plan for nearly every financial eventuality we may face in life: we invest for our retirement and have health insurance and house and contents insurance. Yet when it comes to funerals, many of us don’t think about them, let alone plan in advance.

Thinking about your own funeral or the funeral of someone you love and care about is not always easy but it is not unusual for a grieving family to be unaware of the deceased’s funeral wishes.

Organising a funeral in advance can be far less painful if you know what to expect and what choices you’ll have to make.

At Cleveland Funeral Home we offer you experienced staff to discuss, record and carry out instructions for your funeral, or that of a family member or close friend. All personal details and instructions are kept in the strictest confidence.

Casket Options

All caskets available at the Cleveland Funeral Home are made from top quality materials and manufactured by highly skilled tradesmen.

Wood grain caskets are presented with a high degree of detail. The casket is fully adorned and tastefully lined with your choice of top grade linings.

Our comprehensive range of solid timber caskets are finished in a semi-gloss to enhance the natural beauty of the timber. No two solid caskets are ever the same, reflecting the individual nature of every person. A choice of metal handles is part of the selection of a solid timber casket. The casket is fully adorned and tastefully lined with your choice of top grade linings.

“Ecco” Caskets are an environmentally friendly option of solid natural timber. The Ecco casket is kiln dried, non treated solid pine. All glues used in its manufacturer are water soluble and the casket is finished in a natural oil to enhance the grain and protect the wood from marks. A choice of handles and linings are available. Natural wood handles and environmentally friendly unbleached calico linings complement the environmentally friendly “ecco” casket.

We pride ourselves on being able to meet the needs of every family. Whether it be different wood grain finishes such as hickory or rosewood, to painted caskets, those with graphics to different styles and shapes if you wish. These can be procured from our suppliers usually within 36 hours. A range of economy caskets is also available on request.

Cleveland Funeral Home does not believe in using wooden casket liners as is the practise of some funeral homes. We also guarantee that any item placed into a casket with a loved one is only removed if we are requested to do so by the family.
