Passed away peacefully at Kowhainui Home, Whanganui on Thursday, 16 November 2023, aged 84 years, surrounded by his family.Loved husband of 60 years to Barbara; Dad and Dad-in-law of Janet and Lee, Carron, and Barb and Dev. Much loved Grandad of Sarah and Munish, Kate and Brad, Chris and Danielle, Michael, Connor, Lance, Sophie and Ben, and Matthew. Loved Great-Grandad Allan of Sofia, and Abbey.Brother to Anne and John McNeill (UK), uncle of Joanne and David (UK). Extended family friends of Margaret Adams, and Carol and Vaughan Caseley.Special thanks to Kowhainui Home for their wonderful care, and to Dr Andrew Zimmerman.ZL2AWR10-4 Big buddy!In lieu of flowers, donations to Brain Injury Whanganui would be appreciated, and may be left in the Chapel foyer. A service to celebrate Allan's life will be held in the Cleveland Chapel, 179 Ingestre Street, Wanganui, on Thursday, 23 November 2023 at 1:30pm and will be live-streamed on www.clevelandfunerals.co.nz

So sorry to hear of Alan's passing away will certainly miss his humour and his beaming smile whilst I was at countdown I was privileged enough to meet Allan and Barbara and it was always a great time of laughter when we saw him in the shop.So sorry to hear of Alan's passing to Barbara and family he be will be so sadly missed take care Butcha.

Sorry to here of Alan's passing. I use to enjoy catching up with Alan at the cafe' whenever I was back in Wanganui. Alan trained me during my apprenticeship and he had an uncanny ability to enable what he taught, stick with you. My condolences to Barbara and family.

It was a pleasure to be able to share the service for Alan on line today. We both have truly great memories of Alan, at the family functions since past and always remember his many stories and his infectious personality.
He was a great man in so many ways and very loyal to his family. It was a privilege to have known him.
